Longines Athina Onassis Horse Show
The Longines Athina Onassis Horse Show is one of the most important show jumping events in the world. Sponsored by the Swiss watchmaker Longines and orchestrated by rider Athina Onassis, this exceptional meeting has now reached the fifth edition and from May 31 to June 2, 2018, returns to the famous Pampelonne Beach, legendary for its beauty, as a film location and a popular destination for jet-setters.

Mixing glamour and top-level sport, the event will take place a few steps from the sea, at the back of the beach, shaded by pines, in an area that has been set up for the occasion: main arena for the competitions, practice paddock, horse stalls, village, VIP area, restaurants, bars, shops…

This exclusive event, that combines sport and elegance, is orchestrated by rider Athina Onassis whose passion for horses and equestrian sport has been the driving force behind this prestigious show.

Starting from the 2018 edition the Longines Athina Onassis Horse Show will join the international circuit of the Longines Global Champions Tour, that brings together the top show jumpers in the world to compete in the most prestigious locations for unprecedented prize-money. The Championship spans three continents and takes in the world’s great cities including Paris, London, Madrid, Miami Beach, Shanghai, Rome and Doha. Spectacular world class sport and entertainment across 17 international events.

The Longines Athina Onassis Horse Show will include two different levels of competition for a total of € 617,000 prize-money. The best horse / rider combinations in the world will compete in the 6 classes of the CSI5*, all counting for the Longines Ranking, including the Longines Global Champions Grand Prix with € 300,000 prize-money and the new Global Champions League, where top riders from different countries will unite to compete on the same team ensuring electrifying competitions over a Championship season.

9 classes in the CSI2* will be dedicated to amateurs, who will have the privilege to compete along with the greatest riders in the same arena. There will be a total of one hundred riders and 200 horses representing more than 20 nations.
